We are delighted to announce the launch of a new website that has been developed for the Consortium for the Conservation of the Atlantic Humpback Dolphin (CCAHD). The CCAHD was established in late 2020, as a collaborative group of scientists, conservation organisations and management bodies, educators, and interested individuals, who share concerns over the status of the Atlantic humpback dolphin. The group includes a network of local participants who are based within the confirmed and potential range states of the species, together with international input to provide guidance and support. The mission statement of the CCAHD is:

Working towards the long-term sustainability of Atlantic humpback dolphin (Sousa teuszii) populations and their habitats through research, awareness, capacity-building and action.

The CCAHD website is multi-lingual, reflecting the English, French and Portuguese nationalities of the range states (a wide range of local languages are also spoken). It is intended that the website will develop over time, as more local partners are identified and as funding is acquired to initiate projects to address the range of priority actions that have been identified by the CCAHD working groups.
