Ketos Ecology has established the White-Beaked Dolphin Project (WBDP) to carry out dedicated work into the distribution, biology and ecology of this poorly-studied species in Scottish waters. Information on the White-Beaked Dolphin Project (WBDP) 2007 survey can be found at the WBDP Website:
During August 2007, a dedicated field survey funded by Scottish Natural Heritage was carried out in the Minch (West Scotland, UK), to determine the current status of white-beaked dolphins in the region and examine the feasability of establishing along-term study on the species in the region. The results and a selection of images from the WBDP 2007 survey can be viewed here.
