Ketos Ecology recognises the important role of public awareness and education in the long-term conservation of cetaceans.  In addition to scientific writing (see Publications), we therefore aim to raise awareness via articles and photographs in the media.  Work has been published by various organisations including the Sea Watch Foundation, the North Sea Bird Club, British Wildlife, Birdwatch magazine, Birding Scotland, the Shetland Sea Mammal Group and Organisation Cetacea. From it's launch in April 2004, Caroline Weir has produced several regular columns for the Whale and Dolphin Magazine, including writing as Guest Editor for the Issue 5 South Africa Special Issue.
